We are extremely happy to announce that Alex Simu Quintet has been officially selected for the Dutch InJazz Festival line-up.
Alex Simu Quintet features the unique collaboration between five outstanding artists: George Dumitriu, Franz Von Chossy, Kristijan Krajnčan, Jörg Brinkmann & Alex Simu.
The band members are known to the international music scene through groups such as Arifa, Franz von Chossy Quintet, and extended collaborations for film music awarded with the 2016 Golden Calf by the Nederlands Film Festival and the 2018 BUMA Award (Buma/Stemra) for Best Music & Original Film Score.
The impressive list of credits and accomplishments marks each member in particular, and the group as a whole, whose reputation for creating adventurous and uniquely beautiful music continues to thrive. Their new project, Echoes of Bucharest introduces a vision built on innovation and heritage, expressed through the contemporary language of jazz & free improvisation.
